Schools and entities that claim accreditation by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (now known as The Northwest Accreditation Commission, DO NOT have high standards. Many of these schools have infringed upon the NAAS trademark, illegally profitted off of the superior integrity of National Academy of American Scholars, and have refused to compensate the legitimate NAAS. On March 27, 2010, the United States Patent and Trademark Office officially refused the attempted registration of a fraudulent application submitted byNorthwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc, and its government/corporate alter ego (Idaho State Dept. of Education). On September 1st of 2010, the US Patent & Trademark Office issued a public Notice of Default to Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc. Per Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 55(a), the default is evidence of and a legal admission that ALL of the allegations against Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc. are true. Specifically, the legal default is a legal admission, amongst other things, that the relationship between the Idaho State Dept. of Education, The Association of Washington School Principals, The American Academy, LLC, The Utah State Department of Education, the Montana Office of Public Instruction, the Oregon Dept. of Education, The Alaska Dept. of Education, and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, Inc. (a/k/a The Northwest Accreditation Commission) and all members and persons
